Danforth’s wide-ranging designs mean that you can find a gift for just about anyone, for any occasion and have it sent right to them! Here are some tips for making sure you get your gifts ordered and packaged just the way you want before you submit your order.

Use the Site Search

If you have a gift idea in mind and you’re not sure if Danforth makes has just the right thing, use the site search bar. We have so many beautiful designs, chances are you’ll find what you’re looking for!

To engrave, or to not engrave?

Engraving a gift is a thoughtful way to commemorate important milestones, share inside jokes, or honor a person. Anything Danforth sells that is engravable will have a “flag” over the image on the collection page, and will have a checkbox that says, “Engrave this item” on the product page.

Once you check that box, you can enter the text you want (please note that you will always see character limits) and select a font. Some items can be engraved on multiple sides or take multiple lines. Our engraving is done with a traditional engraver rather than a laser, so the end product will look similar to what you see here:

Once you have filled out all the engraving information, make sure to tap or click “Add to Cart”.

Choosing gift packaging options

You select your gift options in the cart, before you begin checkout.

Some Danforth items, such as oil lamps or drinkware, always come boxed. If an item does NOT come boxed, you will be able to add a gift box for a small fee when you are in the cart. Click on the Gift Options link for the product you are gifting…if you only see the option to add a gift message, the item will come in a box by default. Otherwise, you’ll have the option to add a gift box for a small fee and/or add a gift message. Adding JUST a gift message is free on all products!

If you begin checkout and then realize you forgot to add gift options…just click the link near the top of the page to return to your cart.

Gifting Ornaments

Ornaments have long been one of Danforth’s most popular gifts. We package ornaments in a gift envelope unless the product page specifies that it comes boxed. You also have the option to add a flannel storage pouch with the purchase of the ornament on each product page. If you want the ornament to be boxed, you can add that option in your cart before you begin checkout.

Adding a Gift Message

Your gift recipient will appreciate the personal touch of a gift message! For no extra charge, Danforth will print your message on a card and include it with the item. When you are in the cart, select the “Gift Message” option, which will be available both with the purchase of a gift box and if the item already comes boxed.
