This sand dollar jewelry design came about when an employee of Danforth asked the designer, Tim Copeland, to turn three of our sand dollar pocket charms into three necklaces so that her mother, her daughter, and her could each wear one to commemorate their annual visit to the seashore. This trip to the shore has been a tradition for the three generations of women for many years. These necklaces embody their relationship and their connection to that special place.
As it turned out, the idea was a simply beautiful piece of jewelry. It was so beautiful that we wanted to offer it to our customers, our unofficial and extended Danforth family, as a set of earrings and necklace.
