This pewter snowflake pendant was designed to be true to a real snowflake taken by the Vermont farmer Wilson A. Bentley in 1885. Wilson "Snowflake" Bentley made history for his photography work, capturing over 5000 snowflakes on camera, and never finding two alike.
Today, the Jericho, Vermont Historical Society maintains this important collection. We at Danforth Pewter have the rare privilege of being commissioned to create a series of jewelry based on Bentley’s work. This year, we’re proud to release the 2023 jewelry and ornament. We hope you’ll find it a beautiful addition to your collection as well as a year-round reminder of the astonishing beauty found in nature’s details.
