Meet the newest piece in our collection of handspun pewter drinkware: the hammered Middlebury Martini. This is more than just a martini goblet; it’s a piece of art—one you can serve drinks in!
At Danforth, we’re proud of everything we sell, but the Middlebury Martini has a special place in our hearts. It’s the culmination of years of evolving design and metalwork: combining the stem from our wine goblet and the base from an early Danforth candlestick, plus the unique hammered technique developed for our popular Hammered Jefferson Cup. Each separate piece is spun on our century-old lathe and assembled in-house, all by our Vermont-based artisans in our Middlebury workshop.
The result is a stunning piece of barware that will keep your martini (or any cocktail) chilled, while reflecting light off its multifaceted surface. Drinkware like this makes any well-mixed cocktail even more enjoyable, both for its striking aesthetics and the story behind it.
Our friends at Barr Hill, another born-in-Vermont company, share this recipe for a classic martini.
